- El término (completion) de los requisitos (número de fotos, número de frases, etc.) -- 20 puntos
- Calidad del video (presentación, calidad del audio, diseño) -- 10 puntos
- TOTAL: 50 PUNTOS

Instructions for Jan 18 (Mon) -- Go to Kidblog and start a new post, titled "Sharkesha y Frankito." Write the beginning of a continuation to their crazy prom night (and beyond) by writing a 40-word paragraph. Make sure you use vocabulary from the Unit 3 Week 1 list above! Then publish it.
Then, once you've published your post, swap posts with someone and write the next part of the story (using a comment) in 40 words (you write in that person's post and that person writes in your post). Then swap with someone else and swap with someone else until everyone has written on everyone else's posts. NOTE -- Don't just write random sentences / paragraphs ... what you write should be a logical continuation of the previous post! Also, make sure you only swap with one person ... that way we won't have multiple people writing on the same post at the same time. (Remember, it's got to continue logically!)

Fall Fiesta
Proyecto final del otoño
In this project, you'll create a Weebly website about a topic of your choosing. On this website, you'll add a page for each of the following:
-- A video about your topic --found from the web in Spanish -- embedded into a page of your website with a written 60-word summary of what you learned from it
-- An article about your topic -- found from the web in Spanish -- embedded into a page of your website with a written 60-word summary of what you learned from it
-- An infographic, created in Piktochart in Spanish, describing something about your topic. The graphic should have 150 written words and should be graphically appealing. Add links to different sites to it, too.
-- A one-minute screencast, using web tools like Snagit or Screencastify, displaying a Google presentation with you speaking over it.
You should avoid repetition in all four segments of this project. Write and speak in the most accurate, best Spanish that you can.
RUBRIC:
60 points: Content (text is understandable, has flow, logical; images clear and illustrate the content; screencast is long enough and enough words in each section)
60 points: Accurate Spanish (uses correct verb tenses and verbs are changed accurately; vocabulary usage is good/appropriate; sentences formation is good)
30 points: Presentation (overall look of slides and screencast, neatness, general appearance)

Don Quijote de la Mancha
Instructions for Dec. 1-4:
Read the rest of Don Quijote de la Mancha. Feel free to work together as you read to make sure you understand the main idea of the story and any tricky words.
Once you're done with the book, we'll go back to Piktochart to create a summary of the book. You'll write a three-sentence summary of each chapter, describing what happened in your own words. Add an image to go with each summary and a title over the text that says what chapter it is. Arrange them into blocks, where the text, the picture and the title are all together.
On Friday, when I return, we will turn in your Piktocharts and wrap up our Don Quijote activities!
If you have any questions about the assignment or the story, feel free to e-mail me. On the home page (go to trspanish.com or click the "Home" tab above), scroll down below the sketch and there will be a contact form. Type your name, an e-mail address (either a personal e-mail or your Google Docs username for school) and your question. As soon as I can respond, I will text the answer to your sub. It may be immediately or it may be by class the next day. Have fun!

Lista de vocabulario: Las familias y las identidades
"Cajas de cartón", por Francisco Jiménez
Instructions for Nov. 6:
AP Spanish (8th pd) -- Students should do as many activities as possible from the following College Board AP Practice website: http://media.collegeboard.com/digitalServices/pdf/ap/IN120085262_SpanLangCED_Effective_Fall_2013_lkd.pdf

Proyecto para Unidad 1
Vamos a crear un video en el sitio WeVideo. (www.wevideo.com) Probably necesitarás crear un cuento nuevo.
El video necesita durar dos minutos completos. Necesita un titulo y varios imagenes (usa Creative Commons!). No se necesita escribir palabras en el proyecto de video.
La parte mas importante del video es grabar el audio. Necesitas hablar durante todo el proyecto. Habla solo en español y muestra tu buen vocabulario
Instructions for Monday, Sept. 15
1. We're starting a new set of vocabulary and I need your help! Use the Google Doc below and help me come up with vocabulary words related to "hobbies and interests". I'm looking for 15 vocab terms and a nice variety of things you did when you were younger, things you do now and possibly things you'll do in the future. Find words that you don't know already! You can work together as a group to figure these out. Add the Spanish and the English to the list when you're done.
Google Doc: Hobbies and interests vocabulary
2. Create a Google Drawing like the one below (except that the one below is a Spanish 1 assignment ... your pics and sentences will be different). In each of eight squares, add a sentence using one of those new vocabulary terms and a picture illustrating it. Use the last square to add your name, AP Spanish and the class period. We'll turn them in during class tomorrow.

Instructions for Monday, Sept. 8, and Tuesday, Sept. 9
Remember those movies you made for me last week? Where you created characters, a plot an a climax? We're going to build on them!
On Monday and Tuesday (combined), you'll create two things for me:
If you have any questions about anything, use the contact form below to send me an e-mail (in English is OK). I will have access to my email all day both days and should be able to get you a response fairly quickly (I hope!) by calling or e-mailing the sub.

On Monday and Tuesday (combined), you'll create two things for me:
- A movie poster. Create it on Google Drawings. You've seen movie posters before: They have a title, a couple of little snippets of text to get people excited about watching the movie, the lead characters and a big image in the middle to draw people in. Everything in Spanish ... use your best judgment on writing accurate language.
- A movie trailer. Use Powtoon (www.powtoon.com). You'll need to create an account. It's kind of like an animated slide show video ... pretty cool. (It takes a little playing with it to get it ... check out the video and/or the tutorial site in the links below to figure out how it works.) It needs to be a 30 seconds long and compel people to watch your video. Add text, people, animations, all sorts of things.
